WORKSHOP PROGRAM 2026

Green hydrogen: Driving the Energy Transition

Workshop Series Overview

This workshop series explores the role of green hydrogen as a cornerstone of the global energy transition and a key solution for decarbonising industry, transport, and energy systems. Bringing together leading researchers, industrial experts, and policymakers, the programme provides a comprehensive overview of the entire hydrogen value chain—from renewable hydrogen production to storage, transport, utilisation, and market deployment.

The series examines renewable power integration, advanced electrolysis technologies, sustainable water management, hydrogen storage and distribution, and industrial applications in sectors such as steel, chemicals, refining, and fertilisers. It also addresses hydrogen mobility, Power-to-X, sector coupling, and the integration of hydrogen into future low-carbon energy systems.

In addition, the workshops explore safety, standards, certification, economics, financing, and policy frameworks that are essential for scaling hydrogen technologies and creating competitive global markets.

By combining scientific advances with industrial experience and policy perspectives, the series equips participants with a strategic understanding of technological developments, deployment challenges, and emerging business opportunities. It aims to strengthen collaboration between academia, industry, and government while accelerating the large-scale adoption of green hydrogen as a key enabler of a sustainable, resilient, and carbon-neutral economy.
